Two directions
For a manufacturer selling into France, or a distributor who has to present a supplier's declaration. French buyers, specifiers and engineering firms read the declaration in their own language, with the standard vocabulary they use every day.
For a French manufacturer selling abroad. Your PEP is translated with the EN 15804 and ISO 14025 terminology English speaking buyers and engineering firms expect, keeping the structure of the original document.

A translated EPD is not an FDES
Translation makes your declaration readable in France, it does not change its status. A translated EPD is not listed in the INIES database and does not count in an RE2020 building calculation. If that is your goal, you need an FDES, which I produce from your existing EPD. See the EPD services

The translated document as PDF, 5 working days after I receive the original.
Frequently asked
What does an EPD translation cost?
500 EUR excluding VAT per document of about twenty pages, layout included, delivered in 5 working days. A much longer document is quoted before any work starts.
Does a French translation of my EPD count as an FDES?
No. Translation makes the declaration readable, it does not change its status: a translated EPD is still the original EPD. It is not listed in the French INIES database and does not count in an RE2020 building calculation. That requires an FDES, which I can produce from your existing EPD, quoted separately.
Why an LCA practitioner rather than a translator?
Because an environmental product declaration is a standards document. A general translator renders terms word for word; a practitioner uses the exact term from the French version of the standard, and spots an inconsistency in a results table before it reaches your customer.
Are my documents kept confidential?
Yes. Your documents are used for the translation only and are never shared. An NDA is signed on request.
